In March of this year, when Whitman Keogh (a chocolate Lab) went to see his favorite veterinarian, Greg Abshier, his parents and the doctor talked about the beautiful new park in Mont Belvieu.

They were pleased about the number of people using the park, but were amazed at the number of people who did not clean up after their pets.  Greg offered for the clinic to buy Pet Sanitary Stations for the park if the City would install them.

Jeff Farrell, the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, was contacted and agreed with the idea.  The five receptacles were bought, installed, and have been in use since the end of April.  They are a very nice addition to the park.
